Planning has begun for the 2019 Amazing Race for Charity has begun.
This year’s event is slated for Saturday, Sept. 7. Last year’s inaugural event raised $1,700 for BOOST. This year organizers have set a goal of raising $5,000 for the new animal shelter building fund.
Race registration will begin at 9 am on the Bell Tower plaza. The race will be run predominantly in the downtown area and will end on the Bell Tower plaza with a celebration party. The committee is hoping for 50 two-person teams.
Businesses will again have sponsorship opportunities. More information will be available later this summer.
